In the wake of catastrophic floods that have ravaged Spain, resulting in significant loss of life and widespread destruction, the World Pharmacy Council (WPC) has extended its heartfelt condolences and support to the affected communities.
Doug Hoey, president of the WPC, said: “The World Pharmacy Council extends its deepest sympathies to the people of Spain affected by the devastating floods. Our thoughts are with the families who have lost loved ones, those who have been injured, and all who have been displaced from their homes.”
The recent floods, particularly severe in the Valencia region, have claimed over 200 lives and left many more missing. The deluge has caused extensive damage to infrastructure, including the destruction of more than 70 pharmacies, disrupting essential healthcare services.
