Where to Get Text Content for Websites 2022

Effective website design certainly affects user behaviour – with the help of bright and animated elements, you can attract attention, call for targeted actions and simply create a certain atmosphere on the site. However, if the content on the site does not meet users’ expectations, is of low quality or is poorly viewed, then the design will not help; the customer will leave for a competitor.

Here’s how to choose the right content for the website, where to do it and what users’ needs should be satisfied by the information on the website:

Where can you find unique content for your website with minimum investment and maximum return?

In fact, the content can be anything: on online resources placed text, photos, video, animation, and all it is, content. But if the question arises about uniqueness, they usually mean text content. There are exactly two reasons for this:

  • Search engines. Robots are not very well-perceived pages with non-textual content. If they find a video on a site, they’ll know what it is, but they won’t know what it’s about. And since video content doesn’t make sense to them, robots won’t show a page with video for user queries.
  • Visitors to the site. Even now, against the backdrop of a variety of multimedia, the main source of information for humans is still the text. Word – an amazingly cool tool, suitable for advertising, and for the rejection of objections, and increasing sales on the site. A person needs text.

So the question of ‘where to get content for a website is almost identical to the question of ‘where to get the text for people and search engines’. Of course, there are a few categories of sites for which having text is not crucial. Just a few words – a headline and a couple of lines in the description – are required by search engines to identify content on a photo or video hosting site. And obviously, visitors to such sites don’t care about the text either. People come here not to read, but to look.

But promoting the other types of sites without interesting textual content can not do.

Types of contents

Let’s deal with what content can be on the site:

  • Visual. All kinds of images, graphics, and video content. What we perceive as graphic information.
  • Textual. Blogposts, company information, text descriptions of the product and everything related to the text.
  • Factual. Tables, instructions, privacy policies and other documents, graphics and that content that are based on different data.

Each type of content should be present on the site so that the user can fully understand what the company is about in order to increase customer confidence. If there is no text on the site, the user will not be able to understand the terms of interest, even if all the information is presented in pictures. People are used to perceiving information through text, so textual content is extremely important for users.

Where to get content for the site

Text content is information, which is another way to increase the conversion rate of the site. With the help of text, the customer learns the terms of purchase and makes a decision about the purchase of the product. Designers also need to consider text content when developing a layout.

Texts can be ordered from companies that promote websites. They are usually interested in the fact that the pages to be promoted were filled with keywords. But hardly the texts for the soul: for example, what good employees you have – love Kafka and dream of a summer trip to the mountains. And you want to have a page about favourite employees.

To write texts, SEO companies hire an in-house copywriter or look for good services. There are also agencies that specialize in copywriting in general. They can advise, write, allocate a content manager and get your site up to snuff. Minus – like any agency, it costs more than a non-agency.

A little reminder: Don’t rush to post a finished but raw and visually crooked text. Before you publish it, you need to make it look good, too. To avoid pedants picking on insufficiently long dashes, type your texts. You can use Lebedev’s typographer for HTML editors. If you don’t have one of those and you’re getting terrible &ndas, this service will do.
