Postdoctoral position available in the ProgressLab at the University of Michigan (USA), to assist on a study about abortion attitudes in the US. Applicants should have a PhD in psychology, sociology, education, women’s studies, anthropology, or a related field. Applicants must be fluent in both Spanish and English; experience with translation also preferred. Previous experience in qualitative, survey, and mixed methods data analysis highly desired. Strong writing skills and background in feminist approaches to women’s health is also desired.
Responsibilities will include oversight of mixed methods study, interviewing, transcription, translation, analysis of survey and interview data, as well as development of manuscripts with a multidisciplinary team of researchers studying abortion attitudes.
The appointment is for 1 year; anticipated start date May or 01 June 2018. Person may live anywhere for the duration of the project and must be able to travel for short periods of time (6–9 days) in the US from June through September 2018. Salary $60,000, plus benefits.
