A urinary tract infection (UTI) is particularly an infection that could occur in any section of the urinary system, including the bladder, kidneys, or urethra. It is much more common in women than men, and the risk of developing a UTI increases with age. UTIs are usually caused by bacteria that enter the urinary system through the urethra and begin to multiply in the bladder. The most common type of bacteria that causes UTIs is Escherichia coli, which is found in the intestines.

He or she can let you know if it is safe for you to drink them or if there are other factors that might be contributing to the UTI.
Try a heating pad
A heating pad can provide you with temporary relief from UTI symptoms. To use it, simply place the pad on your abdomen, set it to low, medium, or high heat, and let it run for 15-–0 minutes at a time. If you’re feeling particularly sore and have to step away from the task of applying heat yourself, ask someone else in your household to help out.
The warmth of a heating pad reduces inflammation in the urinary tract by increasing blood flow to the area. This helps reduce pain and discomfort by relaxing muscle spasms that may be contributing to your UTI symptoms, but only temporarily: the heat shouldn’t be used as a substitute for medical treatment!
Cranberries are known as one of the best natural diuretics that can help flush out bacteria. Cranberries contain high levels of vitamin C, which is beneficial for preventing and treating UTIs. The juice from cranberries is also known to be effective in preventing yeast infections. Cranberry supplements and tea can be purchased at most stores or online, but if you don’t feel like purchasing them or would prefer not to consume cranberry supplements, then simply adding fresh cranberries or dried cranberries to your diet will help with UTI symptoms as well!
Eat foods that are high in antioxidants
Fruit like Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries are rich in antioxidants. They contain anthocyanins which help to prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi. Cherries contain high amounts of antioxidants like anthocyanins and flavonoids that have anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce UTI symptoms. Broccoli is an excellent source of vitamins C and E, which helps to boost your immune system, thus preventing UTI infections. It also contains sulforaphane which is a powerful anti-inflammatory compound that reduces swelling associated with UTI symptoms such as burning during urination or blood in the urine (hematuria). Spinach has high amounts of minerals such as iron, magnesium, and potassium, all beneficial for supporting kidney health by helping maintain hydration levels within the body while relieving oxidative stress by neutralizing free radicals that can damage cells leading to inflammation caused by irritation from UTIs.
Take a multivitamin and mineral supplement
Additional vitamins and minerals can help you manage your UTI symptoms until you see a doctor, as well as help, prevent future UTI infections. For example, vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) helps to maintain the health of the mucous membranes that line your urinary tract.
Similarly, vitamin C plays a role in maintaining healthy cells throughout your body and particularly in preventing bacterial infections from spreading from one cell to another. That’s why taking a multivitamin is an essential step for anyone who wants to stay healthy!
See a doctor if the symptoms continue or get worse
If your UTI symptoms do not improve after taking antibiotics and drinking enough fluids, see a doctor for further evaluation. If your UTIs are severe or persistent, it’s important to get treatment from a medical professional as soon as possible. If you have blood in your urine or it is painful to urinate, seek immediate medical attention because these symptoms may indicate a more serious problem.
