Tenure-track Assistant Professor, Women’s and Gender Studies

The Women’s and Gender Studies Department at Wellesley College seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor position to begin Autumn 2017. We welcome applicants who have been trained in the social sciences and/or in interdisciplinary fields whose teaching and research interests focus in any of the following areas:

  • US women’s history
  • health, health care and social inequalities
  • reproductive rights, justice and politics
  • science, technology and society (STS)

We are especially interested in dynamic and collaborative scholars who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community through their research, teaching and service. Course load is 2-2. Candidates should be able to teach an introductory course in Women’s and Gender Studies.

Applicants should submit a cover letter including a statement of research and teaching interests; curriculum vitae; one publication or professional paper; and three letters of reference. For full consideration, applications should be submitted by 01 December 2016. The position is open until filled.
