Taking care of your mental health is important. And there are plenty of people all around the world who are struggling with their mental health and many of these will feel that they have no one to turn to or that no one will understand them.

This is a common feeling but it is important to know that there are plenty of other people out there who are struggling with these issues. This can be confirmed by the number of people who publicly discuss the problems they are having with their mental health.

The people who do this are numerous and brave. They are brave because they are overcoming their own fears in order to help other people feel reassured that the problems they are dealing with are real for many other people out there and that they are not alone.

They are also brave because they are helping others build up the confidence within themselves to open up about their troubling issues and come out into the open with them. These people are helping themselves and others at the same time and this should be applauded.

Instagram as a safe space for mental health

In modern society, it seems that psychology is a popular topic of discussion as people seem to be more comfortable with openly discussing their issues and not being afraid to express doubts or concerns about their mental health. This openness also goes some way of addressing the social stigma that surrounds mental health issues.

People are stepping forward and speaking up about their experiences. The Internet is just one place where you can find examples of these people. There are plenty of places where people are coming together to share their experiences of mental health issues and, if you are looking to hear them, these are the places to go.

Like most issues these days, the main forum for people expressing their opinions in 2019 is Instagram. One reason why people are going to Instagram is because of the large amount of users that make up its user base and the fact that they come from all over the world and are of many different ages.

Is Instagram is a place where people freely discuss issues?

Instagram has more than a billion active users spread throughout the globe and the benefit of this is that it attracts discussion and information regarding a wide range of ideas. These ideas are part of the interests that the many different users have. The advantage of having so many users is that you are bound to find people who are interested in the same topics as you. You don’t have to rely on those within your immediate vicinity, you can reach out and make contact with people from all the corners of the globe.

This can help if you feel like you can’t talk to anyone you know about problems that you may be going through. The topics of mental health and psychology are popular ones on Instagram. There are more than 3.5 million posts that use the #psychology hashtag while there are more than 10 million posts which mention #mentalhealth.

Given that Instagram is used by numerous celebrities and public personalities, many of them who have large amounts of followers, Instagram does have the potential to stimulate conversation in the area if these influencers, as well as their legions of followers, can be motivated to engage in the topic.

There are already quite a few accounts which are looking to address this area but more can still be done by the hundreds of millions of Instagram users to tackle issues that many people must confront on a daily basis.

How to use Instagram to take a stand of your own

If you are interested in using Instagram to contribute to the debate surrounding psychology or mental health, whether it is to offer support, to give professional advice, to share your experiences or merely just to listen, then there are plenty of things which you can do to get involved.

Look up the most relevant hashtags and add to the content using them with posts of your own. You can also search for profiles that are doing their best to help those who suffer and contribute yourself by engaging with them and raising awareness. Similarly, keep an eye out for any campaigns that you see flying about and do your best to get involved however you can.

If you feel that your Instagram profile is not popular enough to attract the attention that you want for this cause then you always have the option of investing in several Instagram features which can boost your popularity. There are a number of websites around which offer Instagram users the opportunity to buy Instagram followers on http://www.insta4likes.com, likes and relevant comments.

By doing this, you will increase the interaction with your account which, in turn, increases the attention you attract from other Instagram users. If you are using your account to promote a noble cause then this is going to help you reach a wider audience and have more people informed about your desire to address the issue.

In the case of mental health, there can never be enough people campaigning for more awareness of the issues and there are still plenty of people who need to see that there is support for them and they do have someone to turn to when they need to.
