Anxiety is one of the many problems affecting if not millions, its thousands of people in the world. And if you are not suffering from anxiety, you may have experienced this condition at some point in life or a loved one is struggling with anxiety. Anxiety is simply a condition that occurs when an individual regularly feels disparate levels of distress, fear, and worry.

Anxiety complications can occur as a result of genetic, medical or environmental factors, as well as due to changes in brain chemistry.

If you are suffering from anxiety, you may exhibit factors like panic attacks, irritability, fatigue, and agitation.

Sleep and anxiety are closely tied together. Lack of sleep can cause anxiety, while anxiety issues can cause sleeping disorders.

For meditation to help, you need to undertake this practice before you sleep. All you need is to get comfortable in a quiet place, take a few deep breaths and relax. This relaxing bedtime routine will help you sleep well and alleviate anxiety. 

Exercise on a daily basis

Exercising can aid improve sleep quality and the time you spend in bed. To cure or alleviate anxiety, you need to exercise early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

This will also help you feel sleepier before you go to bed. Exercising thus plays great roles in solving anxiety complications.

Schedule your meal times well

Your meal times affect the time you sleep. If you wait until late at night to eat, you may trigger the nervous system and make it hard to sleep. Give yourself about three hours after meals to relax before you go to sleep. 

You also need to shun eating spicy and heavy meals close to bedtime. If you are suffering from low blood sugar, you can try a small bedtime snack that is full of nuts, eggs, cheese, and chicken. 

Shun caffeine, alcohol and cigarettes

Try and avoid caffeinated drinks as well as drugs such as diet pills and decongestants as they stimulate your brain and cause insomnia. Alcohol and heavy smoking can also cause sleeplessness. Take any of these substances four hours before bedtime.

Getting enough sleep is great if you are trying to solve anxiety disorders. And with alleviated anxiety, you will also be able to enjoy every night nap. It is not that easy to get that good sleep every day and still reduce anxiety. 

There are good sleep strategies you can opt for and incorporate in your daily routine. However, you have to be patient and ask for help if sleeplessness and anxiety disorders persist.
