Sergiy Boltivets is a Professor in Psychology in Ukraine. Sergiy earned his PhD in 2005, and he investigated the theoretical and methodological foundation of educational mental health. He started his career as a secondary teacher in 1979. Currently, he serves as the Head of the Department of Youth Policy at the State Institute of Family and Youth Policy of Ukraine and serves as Rehabilitation Psychologist in the clinic of Active Treatment of Special States.
Sergiy is also the Head of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. In 2010, he received the Medal of Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine. In 2000 he served as the Head of Ukrainian Coordination Bureau of International Public State Programme, ‘Adult Education in Ukraine’ to which he assisted the International Institute for Lifelong Learning of UNESCO. Sergiy was also the president of Ukrainian Mental Health Foundation (2003) and was the Head of the Association of Psychologists of Ukraine (2012).
