The true wealth in this world is your health and wellbeing; hence you can never pay too much attention to it. The price of being in optimal health is eternal vigilance, and a gap in your attention can have disastrous results. 

It is natural for your health to deteriorate as you get older, but there is still much you can do to ensure good health. There are several ways to ensure that your health is okay, including: 

Medical checkups

If you want to ensure that your health is optimal, you should go for medical checkups as often as you can. A full medical checkup is the most comprehensive way for you to get a vivid picture of your health. 

Most people only go to the doctor when they are injured or sick. Similar to a vehicle that you need to properly maintain instead of taking it to the mechanic when it breaks down, you need to take care of your body by knowing exactly how it is. 

A medical checkup will examine various aspects of your health, including your physical and mental health. It may reveal some underlying issues that you otherwise would not have known. Follow the doctor’s recommendation, and you should be fine. 

Track your health

If you want to maintain optimal health, you should keep track of your health. You should follow as many health metrics as possible and record them for improvements. 

One way to track your health is by measuring the oxygen levels in your blood. You can do so using the best pulse oximeter you can find. An oximeter will track your oxygen levels while sleeping, which is a crucial metric of your health. 

Other metrics you should track to maintain your health include your pulse rate, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels, among others. If you can accurately track various health metrics, you will know the state of your health and what you can do to improve it. 

Create a self-care plan

If you want to be the healthiest version of yourself, you must take care of yourself. The best way to do so is to come up with a self-care plan. 

We all have basic needs that contribute to our wellbeing, including our diet, exercise routine, and sleep. Relaxation and de-stressing are also vital elements of self-care. 

If you want to ensure your health is fine, you should invest as much as you can into taking care of your health. If you have to get a massage, spend time in nature or meditate, ensure you take the time for self-care. 


Recent research has proven that we can attribute the vast majority of health problems to poor nutrition. Therefore, if you want to ensure your health is fine, you should be vigilant about what you feed your body. 

It would be best to focus on eating whole, unprocessed foods that will immensely benefit your health. What you eat determines what you become, and healthy food will make you a healthy person; hence good nutrition is essential.
