Just One Thing: A Summer Boost at Park Igls

Reading Time: 2 minutes

From its perch above Innsbruck at the heart of Austria’s mighty Tyrolean Alps, Park Igls Medical Spa Resort has launched two Active Summer Week programmes (30th June – 7th July and 7th – 14th July), offering health-conscious individuals a chance to boost their physical and mental condition in an inspiring Alpine environment. The crisp Alpine air is a call to get up and go, and the mountains are a stirring backdrop. Where better to focus on detox, exercise, and personal well-being?

Priced at £1948 (€2289) per person, the Active Summer Week programme is designed to boost intestinal health and physical and mental performance. A friendly team of qualified physicians (Mayr and conventional medicine), professional trainers, and therapists is supported by an individually tailored Modern Mayr Cuisine diet plan. In-house Mayr-specialist chef Markus Sorg creates appetising dishes each day using organic, alkaline-based ingredients sourced locally.

In addition to the five-star services and facilities of this beautiful resort, Active Summer Week guests will receive examinations on arrival and departure, an integrated health check, bioimpedance measurements (lean tissue, water, and body fat), six massages, and four Interval Hypoxia Hyperoxia Training (IHHT) cell treatments. IHHT is an approach favoured by many world-class athletes, and its importance is recognised by the award of the 2019 Nobel Prize for Medicine to the three scientists whose work led to its understanding and development.

A wide range of on- and off-site activities are on the Park Igls weekly agenda, from relaxing on a lounger in the seclusion of the hotel’s private park to sightseeing and cultural events in and around Innsbruck. The great Alpine outdoors is on the doorstep. It’s the perfect environment for a walk in the silent forest or something more energetic: running, hiking, mountain biking, or climbing. Expert local guides are available for exploration on foot or on a customised mountain bike tour.

Accommodation is charged separately: from £179 (€209) per night for a single room and from £346 (€404) for a double room. Parking is complimentary, as are transfers (15 minutes) from and to Innsbruck airport or railway station.
