In a revealing new poll from leading online sex-ed brand Beducated, data from nearly 2,000 respondents indicates that 60% of men and women are unsatisfied with the current state of their sex lives.

The survey uncovers a variety of factors contributing to this widespread dissatisfaction, including a lack of communication between partners, insufficient knowledge about sexual health and pleasure, and prevailing myths and misconceptions surrounding sexuality.

Beducated asserts that comprehensive sex education, covering everything from the basics of sexual health to the intricacies of desire and pleasure, is fundamental to addressing these issues. By empowering individuals with knowledge and tools for better communication, Beducated aims to improve sexual satisfaction across the board.<

“60% saying they aren’t satisfied with their sex lives means there must be a lot of bad sex out there,” says Mariah Freya, co-founder of Beducated. “That’s a shame, because, according to the World Health Organization, positive and pleasurable experiences go hand-in-hand with sexual health. And sexual health is an integral part of our overall well-being; you can’t have one without the other.”

Freya also noted that the majority of Beducated.com members actively using the site’s educational courses and services – a full 57% – reported being “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with their sex lives. “That’s not surprising. There’s a misconception that people only need sex education as teenagers, and even that starts with contraception and ends with STDs. Being sexually educated also means knowing your needs, exploring your sexuality, and, most importantly, putting pleasure front and center. That’s precisely what Beducated does.”

Beducated remains dedicated to its mission of promoting sexual wellness and satisfaction through education by addressing the root causes of dissatisfaction and providing accessible, inclusive educational resources. Beducated looks to foster a more open and fulfilling sexual culture with ongoing efforts to expand its offerings and continue its mission as a leading advocate for education as the key to unlocking a happier, healthier sex life for all.
