Sometimes, when we find ourselves in front of a particularly challenging obstacle, our spirit dampens down, and we begin to feel incompetent. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation and wonder whether it’s worth facing the challenge or not, you aren’t alone. However, this is exactly the time to persevere and push yourself up to meet the challenge head-on. To do this, you might need an added incentive, and reading uplifting quotes could just be just the thing you need to keep you motivated. Here are seven motivational quotes that are guaranteed to lift your spirit and keep you going no matter what life holds for you.

‘The man who removes a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.’ – Chinese Proverb

No matter the size of the hurdle you face, you should never declare it impossible to overcome right away. When faced with a large obstacle, try finding multiple ways to approach it. This can lead to several smaller solutions, so you can begin reducing the problem little by little. It’s much easier to defeat several small obstacles during an extended period of time than to face one enormous barrier at once.

‘An ounce of practice is worth more than a ton of preaching.’ – Mahatma Gandhi

Talking about solutions has never resolved any issue. Instead of circling your obstacle problem and trying to verbally overcome it, you need to take action. Do this once, and you will instantly realize the importance of finding a practical solution. So when the next challenge comes, you will be able to implement this practice more quickly and come to a resolution a lot faster.

‘Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.’  – Vincent van Gogh

Being excited about facing an obstacle is an excellent way to look at things, as long as you don’t rush into an impulse decision because of that excitement. It’s always better to build up your success little by little, as this way, the victory will taste much sweeter. Plus, you will feel a much greater and long-lasting sense of fulfilment which will keep you motivated for the next challenge.

‘I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.’ – Nelson Mandela

Facing the unknown can be a frightening experience, but how you decide to react to that fear will be entirely up to you. If fear is what gives you the most troubles in overcoming obstacles, reading some lion quotes can give you the courage you need. After all, even lions feel fear, but they still face the enemy with a roar and defend what they believe in.

‘However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at.’  Stephen Hawking

Sometimes a challenge is just impossible to overcome. However, this doesn’t mean you have to give up on everything and sink into a negative mentality. The beauty of being a human being is that we are all talented at something, and you just need to find your path to success. This means that you can always find another way to triumph by doing something different.

‘All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.’ – Walt Disney

Even if you feel that your deepest desires will never become more than unfulfilled dreams, you should never give up on them. You should always keep your dreams ahead of you as an inspiration because you never know when life will present you with the opportunity to convert them into a reality.

‘Reality is created by the mind, we can change our reality by changing our mind.’ Plato

If you only focus on one solution, and it’s not working, it means you have to change your mindset and shift your focus in a different direction. Changing your mind about something is often the most challenging part of a journey. However, once you do it, you will find your way out of any problem much faster.

Whether you decide to face the obstacle in front of you or not will be entirely up to you. Sometimes it becomes hard to think positively about the outcome of facing a hurdle, which can keep someone paralysed with fear. However, generally, the larger the obstacle you need to overcome, the higher your victory will be, and your struggles will be worth it. And if you can see obstacles as opportunities to triumph, you will be able to conquer everything. Hopefully, these quotes will give you the strength you need to rise above the challenge and become a successful individual.
