Blick Rothenberg, the leading accounting, tax, and advisory firm has partnered with LifeWorks for an effective action plan against mental health by providing a unified platform for the well-being of its clients and employees.

LifeWorks is a mobile-first platform that revolutionises the employee engagement of a company; it provides physical, mental, financial and emotional support by offering employees information, advice, and perks. The provider reported that 93% of employees sign up to the platform within three months and 100% of customers generating a positive ROI within three months.

Simon Gleeson, partner at Blick Rothenberg said, ‘Mental health is no longer being treated with the negative stigma it has in the past. Focusing on well-being in UK workplaces has become a key part of a wider employee engagement and retention strategy in 2018. The continuing merge in responsibilities of CEO and CHRO roles is bringing greater focus and renewed investment in tackling challenges such as stress, anxiety and mental health issues in today’s businesses.’

Simon Gleeson, partner at Blick Rothenberg said, ‘Mental health is no longer being treated with the negative stigma it has in the past.

He added, ‘Feeling recognised and acknowledged among peers and the wider organisation has become a key contributing factor to high performing, productive teams. A happy, engaged, valued associate drives higher productivity, which ultimately impacts the bottom line. Reward has expanded beyond compensation, with access to well-being in the workplace a much greater influence in the selection process for today’s candidates.”

Simon added, ‘Amid Mental Health Awareness Week, Blick Rothenberg is proud to support its employees. With over 50% of absenteeism now attributed to mental health issues across all UK business, well-being is no longer just a buzzword or quickly dismissed as only of interest to millennials or future generations.’
