Melleah Strautins is a provisionally registered psychologist, currently undertaking her master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Western Australia. She is also a research assistant with the School of Business and Law at Edith Cowan University.
Melleah comes from a telecommunications/information technology project management background, transitioning to psychology in her late thirties. She has her BA in psychology with a minor in addiction studies, and honours in psychology with her research thesis based on elucidating sexual functioning and importance for well-being in adults aged 65-82.
Her research interests include older adults’ well-being and sexuality, cognitive processing in advanced ages, behavioural psychology and a personal interest in the works of Gene Cohen. She is a member of the Australian Association of Gerontology, Australian Psychological Society and has a keen interest in music, photography and equestrian pursuits. She is an editorial board member for Psychreg Journal of Psychology.
