Dr Josephine NwaAmaka Bardi, widely known as The Orator for her award-winning motivational speaking, is a highly respected strategic higher education leader, celebrated academic, student experience innovator, and influential voice in global mental health and higher education policy. With more than a decade of senior leadership experience across higher education, research, student engagement, and international academic development, she has consistently demonstrated an exceptional ability to drive institutional transformation, educational excellence, and socially impactful leadership.
As former Associate Dean for Education and Student Experience in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at London South Bank University, Dr Bardi led significant improvements in student satisfaction, progression, retention, and inclusive educational practice. Her leadership has been recognised for advancing culturally responsive approaches to higher education while strengthening student well-being, belonging, and academic success across diverse learning communities.
Dr Bardi currently serves as a Visiting Professor in Nigeria and at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), Kuwait, where she continues to shape international conversations on higher education leadership, global mental health, student experience, inclusion, and social justice within academic institutions.
With a PhD in Mental Health and Wellbeing, Dr Bardi is a mental health nurse and anthropologist whose qualitative research in social psychiatry has informed national and international advocacy across television, radio, print media, and higher education policy discussions. She is also the founder of the RAMHHE Intercountry Research Group, an initiative dedicated to raising awareness of mental health in higher education and promoting culturally responsive support systems for students globally.
Dr Bardi is widely recognised for combining visionary leadership, academic scholarship, public influence, and compassionate advocacy to transform student experiences and champion equity, inclusion, and well-being within higher education systems worldwide.
