Jemma Thomas is the founder online fitness community for women, Jemmas Health Hub. She has legions of fans via her hugely popular Instagram account @jemmas_health_hub and gives regular fitness advice to those in need. Launched in 2015, her aim is to make women feel supported and mentally stronger through regular exercise workouts that she does online four times a week.
She has experienced a huge rise (over 50%) in membership since March 2020 compared with last year as regular gym-goers have seen the benefits of home work-outs in an online community of supportive women.
The Hub provides more than just a fitness workout. As well as doing half an hour of circuits, Jemma gives advice on calming techniques, recipe ideas an a reassuring voice at the time we need it most.
Jemma says: ‘I promote exercise as therapy and truly believe that it has magical powers. I work out to improve and maintain my own mental health and my main aim is to help others see that it’s not all about weight or physical appearance, it’s about how good exercise can make you feel, particularly at such testing times.’
Jemma is based in Surrey and is Mum to two lively boys – Jude, 8, and Buddy, 4.
