Jashan Jot Kaur belongs to a historic and royal city of the Punjab state in Faridkot in the North part of India. She has passed her graduation and post-graduation studies in Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana; with plant breeding and genetics as a major discipline. Her friends and colleagues call her by the acronym of her name as ‘JJK’.
She has research experience within different conventional and molecular breeding projects on traditional cereal crops, pulses (chickpeas), forages, oilseed crops. She worked as an assistant manager in one of the renowned flower and vegetable seed companies of Punjab ‘Biocarve Seeds’ with experience in marketing of hybrid and best quality seeds within India.
As well as being a researcher and a proud agrarian (PAU’ian), she is presently working in the directorate department of Dasmesh Public School (DPS) Faridkot in India. Her interests are wide-ranging and include the relationship between physical and mental health considering sports and love for the plants and flowers as an important part of life along with the music.
JJK is fun-loving and has growing interests in reading various books and travels to explore around diverse nature and learn the cultures. She loves to sing in her time to relax and wave-off the negative energies. She loves adventures. In addition, she started loving to write for Psychreg and has published few articles for the same.
JJK is always happy to learn new and different in the field of learning and teaching, as well as with colourful gardening which is her favourite time with plants and colourful flowers. She has maintained a beautiful home garden full of different species of flowers, trees and shrubs along with vegetables. She is always enthusiastic towards goals to create a healthier generation, improve communities and to make a difference.
JJK is ambitious and now contented, holding a teacher status with the DPS. She always feels happy being called as Dashmeshian. JJK can often be found tweeting of most things @JashJot.
