When you want to get a nose job or a rhinoplasty, you probably have your reasons.

Maybe you have never been happy with how your nose looks. Or maybe you have been in an accident and your nose is now a bit lopsided. Either way, it is important when you are considering any kind of plastic surgery to know what to look for, as well as how to spot warning signs that can come with some of the experts.

So, if you want to opt for the op, here are some things to consider before you book a rhinoplasty.

Choosing a surgeon

A rhinoplasty is a standard plastic surgery procedure but, that doesn’t mean you can afford to choose just anyone to perform it!

When you are looking for a surgeon to recraft your nose, you will need to choose one who has not only done the surgery before but also has a portfolio of previous examples that they can show you. If you want to weave your nose job into a vacation, then you should choose a rhinoplasty Turkey with a surgeon who can showcase their previous work. Aim to ask to see certificates, portfolios, and, of course, previous patient feedback. Make sure that if you ask a question, that the surgeon answers it simply. Don’t be swept up by jargon; you need to know exactly what you are going in for and need plain English.

The clinic

Even if you have opted for a nose job Turkey, then you will need to see the clinic. Ask to be shown around before the operation. Is the clinic clean? Are the staff friendly? Are there any bad smells?

As bad as it sounds, don’t trust photos on a website. If you have any concerns about the condition of the clinic or the staff, then leave!

Post-op care

OK, so if you are taking part in medical tourism, it may seem that you aren’t going to be able to get any real post-op care. However, any reputable hospital or clinic that is able to offer this procedure should also put emphasis on your post-op care. Before you fly out or travel to the destination, there should already be a care plan in place to ensure that, once the operation is completed, you stay nearby for a set time so the team can complete the post-op care. Again, if this isn’t part of what is being offered, then walk away!

As is life, if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

Even if you only have a little bit of money to spend on your nose job, you don’t want to choose the procedure with the lowest costs. Why? Well, if the costs are lower, then post-op, pre-op or even the tools used to perform the procedure may not be up to scratch.

So, be sure to shop around, get an average, and ask what is included. The last thing you want to have is a nose job that then needs to be redone when you get home.
