Green Pearls, an international platform promoting sustainable tourism, is widening its network to include companies from the travel and lifestyle sector that contribute to environmentally responsible comfort. For more than 13 years, the platform has championed sustainability in tourism. It is now building connections between hotels and suppliers that share this commitment.

The expansion follows the recognition that the goodwill of hoteliers alone cannot create a comprehensive sustainable travel experience. The platform aims to link travellers, accommodation providers, and companies offering environmentally conscious solutions. This approach led to the creation of Curated by Green Pearls.

Stefany Seipp, founder and managing director of Green Pearls, said: “Sustainability is no longer confined to a single segment, but rather a shared responsibility across industries. By opening up our network, we are creating new synergies and showcasing the diversity of sustainable travel today, from hotel rooms to the products that furnish them.”

The platform intends to demonstrate how sustainable materials, efficient technologies, and eco-friendly design can enhance travel experiences. With industry data showing that 83 percent of travellers prioritise sustainable options in 2025, the initiative reflects rising expectations for verifiable green practices. Since 2012, Green Pearls has curated more than 70 sustainable hotels and now aims to connect these accommodations with suppliers that support low-impact operations.

From 1st December 2025, several sustainable brands will join the network. These include Medeco Cleantec, SWISSFEEL, PHARMOS Natur, memo AG, Ecowaterjet by rabmer, and Segmüller Werkstätten. Each company contributes distinct environmental innovations.

• Ecowaterjet by rabmer. rabmer, an Austrian company, offers the Ecowaterjet by rabmer, a technology that mixes air into the water jet to cut consumption by up to 50 percent. The system also reduces deposits in showerheads and lowers energy and maintenance costs. This efficiency has particular relevance for hotels, where average water use reaches around 300 litres per guest per night. The technology holds the Austrian Ecolabel and a European medal for its hygiene benefits.
• Medeco Cleantec. Medeco Cleantec, a German company, developed the micro-dry steam cleaning method, which uses no chemicals and requires more than 90 percent less water than conventional cleaning. The process relies on high temperature and pressure, making it suitable for sensitive surfaces. In October 2025, the company received the German Sustainability Award in the Resources category. Several Green Pearls accommodations already use the system.
• memo AG. memo AG has operated for 35 years as a German mail order company offering environmentally friendly products across office, household, outdoor, and food categories. It uses a reusable packaging system known as the memo box, which has reduced cardboard waste by several thousand tons. The company received the German Sustainability Award in 2025. Hotel Luise in Erlangen, a long-standing customer, also won the German Sustainability Award in the lodging industry category that year.
• SWISSFEEL. SWISSFEEL produces fully recyclable mattresses. Its two-Cycle concept allows both the cover and the core to be washed and later recycled, extending service life to as long as 20 years. The approach reduces emissions by up to 80% compared with conventional mattresses. SWISSFEEL mattresses are used in the Circular Living Rooms at the SCHWARZWALD PANORAMA in Bad Herrenalb, which follow circular economy principles and hold Cradle to Cradle Silver and EcoVadis certification.
• PHARMOS NATUR. PHARMOS NATUR manufactures organic natural cosmetics in Germany. Aloe vera fresh plant juice forms the base of all products, replacing water. The company uses recyclable packaging and supports environmental and social projects, including rainforest protection and community initiatives. Many Green Pearls partners already use its products.
• Segmüller Werkstätten. Segmüller, a family-owned company, produces a sustainable furniture collection under the Segmüller Werkstätten brand. LA SILVA, a bed system designed for eco-conscious hospitality, uses certified solid wood, natural latex, linen, and coconut fibres. Produced in Bavaria, it reflects regional craftsmanship and resource-efficient manufacturing. Segmüller has focused on durable, locally made products since 1925.

By expanding its network, Green Pearls strengthens its position in responsible tourism and supports the sector’s long-term goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
