Gobinder Gill is a Lecturer in Sport Psychology and Research Methods at Birmingham Metropolitan College. He graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BA (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Sciences with History in 1997. Gobinder has completed an MPhil in Examining Emotional Intelligence in Sport and gained an MSc in Sport and Exercise Sciences both from the University of Wolverhampton. Currently he has started a PhD in Emotional Intelligence and Teacher Training with Newman University. Gobinder has experience of producing research and writing books in addition to presenting at conferences. As a dedicated professional, Gobinder is a Teaching and Learning Coach who supports peers and conducts staff development workshops on teaching and learning.
Gobinder also works with a client base from education, business and sport where he uses application from applied sport psychology to support performance levels. In developing research, Gobinder is keen on enhancing self-awareness levels among practitioners and increase levels of emotional intelligence that he believes are key to productivity. Within teaching practices he uses innovative techniques to enhance the quality and deliverance of teaching amongst his peers.
