With the help of some well-known celebrities, including Joel Dommett from the Masked Singer; Joel’s wife, model Hannah Cooper; and comedian Jayde Adams, Brain Tumour Support is encouraging people across the UK to sign up to their Sparkle Up Your Day campaign, raising funds for their vital support services.
Joel and Hannah are calling on everyone to get involved, saying: ‘We love the idea of Sparkle Up Your Day. Everyone needs something sparkly in their life and what better way to support the amazing work that Brain Tumour Support does. We’ll be getting our glitter out for Sparkle Day, and we can’t wait to see photos of lots of sparkly outfits and events.
‘We know first-hand just how valuable and needed the services that Brain Tumour Support provide are. But the charity desperately needs the funds to be able to reach out to the many people who currently lack any support. What better way than Sparkle to support an amazing cause and also have some fun at the same time.’
It’s not just people who can sparkle up this autumn for charity, pets are encouraged to join in the fun.
Brain Tumour Support is the UK’s leading charity dedicated to supporting patients and families affected by any type of brain tumour, and funds raised will be used to help the charity deliver its essential support sessions and range of specialist services which are all free of charge to those who need them.
In the UK there are over 100,000 people living with a brain tumour and an average of 45 people every day receive this shocking diagnosis, which can affect anyone regardless of age, sex, lifestyle, or general health. Sadly, brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other type of cancer.
No other charity offers the range of specialist emotional and practical support that Brain Tumour Support has developed.
In 2020, the Sparkle Up Your Day campaign raised funds to help people access support sessions, essential as diagnosis can often have complex and long-lasting physical, practical and psychological effects on the life of a whole family.
The importance of the support is summed up by Gabrielle, who regularly attends the online groups and says ‘These sessions are a life-changer for me’.
Brain Tumour Support receives no statutory funding or major sponsorship for its essential work, making donations and campaigns such as Sparkle Up Your Day particularly important.

Tina adds: ‘This has been a tough year for us, as for many charities, and the Sparkle campaign will raise much needed funds to allow us to continue to provide help and support to people diagnosed as well as their families across the UK.’

‘We are thrilled to announce our first two headline partners, personalised printing specialists Prinster and bespoke clothing embroidery and garment printers, Westcoast Workwear & Embroidery, and we welcome approaches and ideas from other organisations who’d like to further Brain Tumour Support’s work and to include us in their corporate social responsibility and altruism campaigns.’
