Mental health counsellors and licensed mental health counsellor (LMHC) are professionals who counsel people with mental health issues. According to a National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) 2016 report, approximately 16.2 million US adults living admit to having one or more major depressive episodes.

Similar symptoms include loss of appetite, low energy levels, overwhelming grief, and lack of interest in hobbies, activities, family, or other things.
