EastEnders actress Harriet Thorpe, known for her role as Queen Vic landlady Elaine Peacock, is set to participate in the upcoming MoonWalk London 2025. This annual event, organised by the breast cancer charity Walk the Walk, will take place on Saturday 17th May, starting from Clapham Common.
As an ambassador for Walk the Walk, Harriet has been a dedicated participant, completing the MoonWalk London 21 times with her team, affectionately named “Harriet’s Big Tits”. She is now calling on the public to join her in this year’s event to raise funds and awareness for breast and other cancers.
Harriet expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “I’m encouraging everyone to get out there and walk and sign up for The MoonWalk London 2025. The beauty and simplicity of walking is just amazing – on your own or with friends. Grab your trainers and put one foot in front of the other – follow me and my Big Tits Team and make a difference for people with breast and other cancers.”
The MoonWalk London offers participants the choice between two challenges: the Full Moon marathon (26.2 miles) and the Half Moon (15.1 miles). Walkers are encouraged to don decorated bras or brightly coloured bra T-shirts, a signature of the event, to promote awareness and solidarity.
Walk the Walk, established in 1996, is passionate about encouraging individuals to become fitter and healthier while taking control of their well-being. The charity is best known for organising its flagship overnight MoonWalk fundraising events in London, Scotland, and Iceland. To date, Walk the Walk has raised over £143 million, which has been granted to various projects and organisations focused on cancer prevention, research, and support for those living with cancer.
In addition to funding research, the charity supports initiatives such as providing scalp cooling equipment to hospitals across the UK, which helps prevent hair loss during chemotherapy. They have also funded facilities like the Nina Barough Pathology Laboratory at The Royal Marsden Hospital and have been instrumental in campaigns like “Men Get Breast Cancer Too”, raising awareness that breast cancer is not exclusive to women.
Harriet Thorpe’s involvement brings a personal touch to the cause. Beyond her on-screen persona, she has shown unwavering commitment to supporting those affected by cancer.
