Edinburgh-based clinical psychologist and sex and intimacy coach Dr Lori Beth Bisbey is preparing to relaunch her pioneering podcast, The A to Z of Sex, with new episodes set to air from May 2025. Known for its candid and unfiltered exploration of sex, desire, and relationships, the podcast returns following a successful 200-episode run, promising renewed insights, thought-provoking guests, and open discussions designed to help listeners navigate their intimate lives with greater confidence.

“I couldn’t be more excited about relaunching The A to Z of Sex podcast with new episodes starting at the beginning of May,” said Dr Bisbey. “We’re building on the success of the first 200 episodes with fresh insights, new guests and a renewed focus on helping people navigate their intimate lives with confidence and curiosity.” She also invited potential contributors to join the conversation: “If you have an interesting perspective on sex, relationships, or intimacy, we’d love to hear from you. We are currently on the lookout for new guests to come aboard and join in on the conversation!”

The podcast follows a unique alphabetical format, addressing a broad spectrum of topics from attraction to sexual trauma. Each episode features Dr Bisbey in conversation with expert guests, offering a mix of scientific insight, personal experience, and practical advice. Its bold yet accessible tone has earned the show a loyal audience on platforms such as Apple Podcasts and Spotify, where subscribers can tune in weekly. Additional content, including blogposts, is available through DrLoriBethBisbey.com.

With over 30 years of clinical experience, Dr Bisbey is an accredited advanced GSRD (gender, sexuality, relationship diversity) therapist, specialising in consensual non-monogamy, kink, and BDSM. She also works with individuals recovering from trauma. Based in Edinburgh, she is widely recognised in the media and was the Specialist Relationship Therapist on Channel 4’s Open House: The Great Sex Experiment. Her published works include Chopping Wood, Shaping Metal & Other Erotic Stories and Dancing the Edge to Reclaiming Your Reality: Essential Life Skills for Gaslighting (and Trauma) Survivors.

The relaunch arrives amid a growing public appetite for open conversations about sex and relationships. A 2023 YouGov poll found that 62% of UK adults believe sexual health and relationships should be discussed more openly, reflecting the rising demand for platforms like Dr Bisbey’s. Her approach, combining professional expertise with personal authenticity – she identifies as a queer, consensually non-monogamous leather woman in a full-time authority transfer-based relationship with her husband – continues to strike a chord with audiences seeking honest, inclusive dialogue.

The revival of The A to Z of Sex aligns with Dr Bisbey’s wider mission to promote authenticity and connection in discussions of intimacy. As a respected speaker and workshop leader, she has addressed international audiences on sexual diversity and trauma recovery. Her memoir, Dancing the Edge to Surrender: An Erotic Memoir of Trauma and Survival, provides a deeply personal account that reinforces her authority in the field.
