Choose the right location

Stay hydrated

Protect your eyes

Bright sunlight can strain your eyes. Sunglasses with UV protection can help reduce glare and protect your eyes from harmful rays. Alternatively, reading under a shaded area or using an e-reader with an adjustable backlight can help minimise eye strain.

Dress comfortably

Wear light-coloured, loose-fitting clothing made of breathable fabrics like cotton or linen. This will help keep you cool by allowing your skin to breathe and sweat to evaporate. Avoid dark colours, as they absorb more heat.

Bring a portable fan

A small, battery-operated fan can provide a refreshing breeze and help keep you cool while you read. Some fans come with a misting feature, which can be particularly effective in cooling you down.

Monitor the weather
