Chris Heath, MD is a graduate of the Dallas Psychoanalytic Centre, an APsaA-accredited training centre with a strong focus on object relations and understanding dreams. He believes the greatest strength of psychoanalytic training is the requirement of a personal psychoanalysis. His psychoanalysis has been life changing for him, and reinforces for him the power of unconscious fantasy, and the capacity of the mind for change.
Heath is a member of the Social Media Task Force of the International Psychoanalytical Association. Please follow him on Twitter:
In 2014, he received a grant from Psychoanalytic Electronic Publishing (PEP-Web) for production of a series of videos about how your mind works, from a psychoanalytic perspective. He is creating these for non-analysts, using an Edutainment format. These will be published on PEP-Web; the first is available on his Vinculo Productions YouTube Channel.
His academic interests have involved the relationship between the body and mind, and reverie as a tool in psychoanalysis. He was Associate Member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Psychoanalysis 2012-2014, and continues to review papers for that journal.
