Chiva-Som Launches “Season of Joy and Wellness” to Inspire Well-Being in Hua Hin

Pioneering wellness destination Chiva-Som in Hua Hin, Thailand, is enhancing guests’ well-being this autumn with the “Season of Joy and Wellness”. Running from October to December, the programme features wellness immersions, expert consultations, and festive celebrations to enrich the resort’s personalised approach to wellness.

Guests are invited to explore the connection between mind, body, and spirit, delve into energy healing, and embrace holistic approaches to physical well-being. Throughout the season, renowned practitioners will be leading free group classes and custom treatments to provide a complete wellness experience.

October: Joy of cooking and holistic healing

October’s theme, “The Joy of Cooking”, includes weekly Lunch & Learn demonstrations every Wednesday, where Chiva-Som’s culinary team teaches guests healthy cooking techniques and the use of therapeutic ingredients in nutritious meals.

Holistic healer David Stojanovic offers Metta Healing sessions throughout October, helping guests explore the benefits of Metta meditation, aimed at releasing subconscious pain and boosting life energy. Stojanovic will also provide complimentary sessions twice weekly on “Energy Channelling Meditation” and “Understanding Your Subconscious Mind for Better Health”.

From 12th–26th October, osteopathic specialist Ian Lee will be available to address physical imbalances, enhance mobility, and promote the body’s natural healing. Dr Greg Shiu will focus on emotional well-being with his Total Kinesiology treatments from 16th–31st October, including complimentary weekly fascia-stretching classes.

Chiva-Som’s medical doctor, Dr Punnapat Thawepornpuriphong, will discuss “How Exercise Affects Your Mental Health” on 20th October, while Oriental Medicine Specialist Satoshi Hashimoto presents on the Seiketsu-Shiraku acupuncture technique on 25th October. Additionally, health and wellness advisers Cheewee Khongtreekaeo and Nuengruethai Pumjalern will provide stress release techniques through complimentary talks in October, November, and December.

November: Diabetes awareness and cultural celebration

November’s activities include a diabetes awareness talk by Dr Punnapat on 24th November, which addresses the rising prevalence of diabetes among younger generations and preventative measures. Guests can also participate in the Loy Krathong Festival on 15th November, where they will enjoy traditional Thai festivities, including a candlelit krathong floating ceremony and a beachfront barbecue.

Nicholas Harris returns from 10 to 30 November, offering integrative cognitive therapy sessions, rooted in clinical hypnotism and Tibetan Buddhism, to help guests release trauma and find inner balance. His complimentary weekly talks focus on healing relationships, addressing trauma, and achieving inner wellness.

Masa Sugiyama, with her Masa Method of cranial therapy, will be available from 15th November–15th January, helping guests achieve increased immune function, headache reduction, and a more youthful appearance. Guests can also join her complimentary group classes on facial exercises for anti-ageing.

December: Reflection and renewal

The first half of December will feature RAIN Meditation sessions with yoga instructor Sean-Paul Louie Sanz, helping guests recognise, allow, investigate, and understand their inner experiences to find peace. On 9th December, Saisamorn Sriyoha will lead a Tibetan Singing Bowls session that uses vibrational healing to calm the mind and encourage relaxation.

Healer Danchai Chernprateep will offer sessions on “Reprogramming Your Signature” from 1st–14th December, aimed at releasing redundant energies and promoting higher consciousness. Evelyn Param Dhyan Wörz will provide Touch of Soul Therapy from 15th–31st December, helping guests address mental and physical trauma, burnout, and self-destructive patterns.

Dr Punnapat will also host a talk on 18th December titled “Mastering Your Healthy Journey”, guiding guests in setting and achieving their wellness goals. On 24th December 24, The Karen Kids Foundation will host a special barbecue, and on 26th December, Dr Apichaya Siengluecha will give a talk about skincare.

New Year celebrations

On 31st December, Chiva-Som will offer a therapeutic yoga class for guests to conclude 2024 and transition into the new year with inner peace, followed by a Loving Kindness Meditation session led by David Stojanovic. Guests can take part in the merit-making ceremony on New Year’s Day to accumulate goodwill, and join a “New Year, New Body” exercise class to start the year with renewed energy.

Guests can also enjoy a Serenity Cruise every other Sunday, and ring in the new year with the “Return to Hollywood Countdown Celebration”, featuring a gala dinner, live music, and glitz and glamour inspired by Hollywood’s golden era.
