Carol Hopwood is a Senior Psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience providing counselling, supervision and consulting services using evidence-based, strength-focused interventions. She specialises in helping clients not only relieve painful emotional struggles, such as anxiety and depression, but also create sustainable lasting change by building emotional resilience.
She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Colorado State University, followed by a master’s degree in Social Work from Eastern Washington University. Her licences and qualifications include Oregon Qualified Mental Health Professional, State of Oregon Licensed Clinical Social Worker and State of Montana Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Her range of professional counselling experiences include: Military and Family Life Consultant, Juvenile Justice, Adoptions, Gerontology, hospice, Therapeutic Foster Care, School Violence Prevention Education, Resiliency Training Programmes, Professional and Volunteer Helpers Training.
Hopwood is also an active member of the following organisations: National Association of Social Workers, International Positive Psychology Association, Central Oregon Mental Health Practitioners Alliance, American Mental Health Alliance-Oregon and Association for Contextual Behavioural Science.
