We see technological advancements almost every day; we’ve moved from simple telegrams and typewriters to smartwatches and laptops or smartphones you are using to read this post. The more the world evolves, the better technological advancements we receive. So far, we have software and apps that make life easier, and we can now do most of the things we do outside from the comfort of our homes.

However, if there’s anything thousands of years of existence have taught us, it’s that we humans hardly rest on our laurels. So programmers decided to take things one step further and introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI). Today, AI can handle many of the tasks that humans do.

Smart AI in dating sites is the reason why some Western men can find Mexican brides without travelling and health practitioners can treat various terminal illnesses. These bots have even begun to play significant roles in our personal lives and professional services. For instance, if you are a communication expert, you will know that AI can help you keep in touch with customers without breaking a sweat. But apart from this example, let’s find out other ways that AI and machine learning have changed our lives.

How artificial intelligence has eased lives

Even if you worry that AI may replace humans in the corporate world, you can’t deny that it has made processes easier. Machine learning has facilitated our daily lives in many ways, including the fact that:

It has improved customer service experience

Ideally and realistically, customer service representatives can handle a limited number of customers at a time. On the other hand, AI can take thousands of customers simultaneously because of its numerous features. Companies that use chatbots can attest to this fact.

If you work at a bustling call centre, AI can help you out, and thus your colleagues reduce clients’ waiting time. Its presence can free up time for you to focus on more tasks involving complex decision-making, such as ethical dilemmas. Besides, if a customer’s question becomes too complex for the chatbot to process, a live representative can always take over.

Machine learning has improved education

Machine learning is an aspect of artificial intelligence that allows computers and robots to learn through experience instead of programming. This process has been beneficial in the educational sector where data management is crucial. So, because of AI’s ability to work with more data than is possible for the average human, it can record individual performances and provide precise information on customising lessons to fit each person.

In addition to that, many people witnessed how machine learning made learning during the lockdown easy. AI made it possible for students to learn at their pace and reduced the burden on teachers. It also made education available to people of different nationalities, turning the internet into a global classroom.

Artificial intelligence has helped people with mental health issues

There are various chatbots online that are made specifically for people who struggle with mental health issues or other problems. These chatbots have helped people looking for a safe, non-judgemental zone to talk about their feelings. Even if responses are automated, the knowledge of airing your thoughts without counter opinions or unsolicited advice can be comforting. If you want to, these chatbots can even recommend articles on the internet to read that will improve your mental health, or connect you to a professional therapist, depending on the severity of your issue.

Artificial Intelligence has made customer data collection easy for marketers

These days, marketing must be specific before closing sales, but AI has made it easy for digital marketers and brand strategists to find information quickly. Gathering the correct information about ideal customers has been a hassle for entrepreneurs and business owners for years. It has been quite tasking and sometimes, reports turn out to be unreliable due to human errors in collation.

However, combining the power of AI with human ability has made it easy to discover more about companies’ target audiences. This tech goes beyond the usual location and age range of prospects. It provides more unique information, like gadgets specific audiences use and other handy data

Artificial intelligence can also analyse large volumes of data from CRM platforms and convert them into accessible reports. Its speed and accuracy ensure there is less room for error than with previous processes. In the end, AI has helped business owners focus on scaling their companies and other core aspects of business growth, instead of spending too much time on tiny details.

Takeaway

AI has been more of a blessing than a curse to humans. Despite the fears associated with robots taking over the world, we still cannot deny that they have been of tremendous help to us, and we are gradually having more applications for them. In our daily activities, we come in contact with at least one machine that utilises artificial intelligence – it could be any of your gadgets or your motion sensor lights.

In the end, AI has also been immensely valuable for professional and personal processes. It helps customer care representatives keep up with tons of requests, facilitates people’s journeys towards a healthier life, and takes the brunt of data collation for small businesses. So while AI may not appeal to everyone yet, its uses and applications point to its longevity and eventual global adoption in the nearest future.
