New App Offers ‘On the Couch’ Programme to Rid People of Stress, Anxiety and Depression

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Pioneering mental wellness education provider, Headucate.me, has launched a new ‘on the couch’ digital training programme to rid people of stress, anxiety, and depression. The programme is packed full of great advice, saves patients a lengthy wait on the NHS and priced at just a fraction of the cost of 1-2-1 sessions with a trained counsellor.

Developing the app is Headucate.me’s founder, leading psychotherapist, Mark Newey. He’s put his 20 years’ experience transforming the lives of over 3000 people into creating this revolutionary programme. The online course is split into four modules and enables users to understand how their mind works, what they really want out of life and gives people the skillsets to think differently about their lives and move forward.

Mark Newey, founder of Headucate.me, says: ‘We have an epidemic of mental health issues in the UK, all because we deal with mental health completely the wrong way. Sadly, we wait until people get really ill and wait for them to put their hand up and ask for help, we then offer them medication or support to manage their symptoms. Our programme works very differently. We teach people resilience and emotional agility by looking at self-awareness, self-esteem, sense of purpose, and self-empowerment; skills to cure your mental illness and keep you mentally fit for life.’

The app offers users a personal approach to mental wellness, with plug in and play tutorials, as well as personal development exercises and meditation videos. In 20-30 minute chunks per day you will learn who you are, how to feel good about yourself, what you want out of life and what to change in your life to beat stress, anxiety and depression.

The programme has received rave reviews. Toby shares: ‘I suffered from anxiety, panic attacks and agoraphobia, I couldn’t function as a human being, it was horrible. In the darkest times I thought I might die from this. The programme worked and everything changed – I’ve even been on planes and eaten meals with strangers; it’s saved my life.’

Another, named Sarah, said: ‘The programme has made such a difference to my life, enabling me to not only understand what I was going through but also how to change it…it was a revelation, thanks to work on my self-esteem it finally allowed me to move on and make the necessary changes; it’s changed my life’
