Anna Drescher is an experienced mental health professional with 10 years of experience working directly with people affected by mental health problems and illnesses. She has a master’s degree in psychology, mainly focused on mental health and psychotherapy. She is also a qualified solution-focused hypnotherapist and yoga teacher. Her work included working therapeutically in in-patient, community and prison settings, as well as developing and managing a co-production project at Mind.
Currently, Anna works privately with clients on a one-to-one basis. Her approach combines cognitive-behavioural interventions, hypnosis, meditation/ mindfulness, and eco psychology.
Since the beginning of 2021, she’s been working as a freelance writer, working with organisations and apps to advise on and create content related to mental health, meditation, and hypnosis. Her aim is to write engaging, informative and evidence-based content that empowers people to take care of their own mental health and well-being. She also writes fiction inspired by the people she has worked with and her own struggles with mental health issues and trauma.
