The Health Experiences Research Group, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, University of Oxford is offering an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person interested in a possible career in health research to join the team as a research assistant for 12 months. The Ann McPherson Fellowship will be appointed to a junior researcher, interested in developing a career in social science and health research, who can demonstrate a proven interest and enthusiasm for qualitative health research.

It is intended that the post will allow the postholder to gain an in-depth understanding of what is involved in qualitative research in the field of health and could form an invaluable first step in a career in this field. The post will involve a range of tasks associated with qualitative research and the postholder will be provided with training to develop their research skills and experience.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-established research group which conducts qualitative research on experiences of health and illness. Please see our website for further information about the group.

The post is full-time for a fixed-term of 1 year. The closing date for application is 12.00 noon on Thursday 29 June 2017. We are planning to hold interviews on 19 July 2017.
