Sarah Netzky is a Licensed Professional Counsellor based in Chicago, Illinois where she works as a psychotherapist at the private practice of Christine Carpenter. She graduated from Roosevelt University with a BA in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies in 2010 and a MA in Clinical Psychology in 2014. Currently, Sarah is pursuing a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree in Clinical Psychology at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, at Argosy University.
Sarah has worked or volunteered in the mental health and social services field since 2009. She currently leads process groups and bereavement support groups within the private practice. She has developed workshops on coping with grief and on self-care and vicarious trauma for beginning counsellors. Currently, she serves as a Member-at-Large on the Board of the Illinois Group Psychotherapy Society (IGPS) and the Chair of the Social Committee of IGPS.
Her main interests are in the realms of group psychotherapy and women’s issues such as infertility, perinatal loss, postpartum mood and anxiety, and body image issues. She is also interested in the professional development of beginning counsellors.
