John Taylor

John Taylor  is registered clinical counsellor and a registered psychotherapist. John has been helping people for more than a decade and a half – as a crisis counsellor, as a therapist in a counselling agency, and as a counsellor in private practice. For several years he ran the Relationship Violence Programme, addressing the roots of anger, addiction, anxiety and abuse. Taylor has also taught psychology at the graduate level and has had articles published in professional counselling, medical and psychology journals.

Professional training, skill, life experience and personal attributes make it easy for people to relate to and trust him. Taylor completed his graduate studies at the University of California in Santa Barbara, with a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, meeting the rigorous requirements of the Marriage and Family Therapist Licence (MFT). His undergraduate degree, graduate studies and career experience are all in psychology. He has furthered his studies through postgraduate training, including at hospital settings at the University of British Columbia, The Gottman Institute, and more. He holds an advanced certification as a Marriage and Relationship Counsellor, with over 15 years direct experience.
