Bill Beswick is a sports psychologist. He was the performance coach at Nottingham Forest until September 2011 and also at FC Twente. Beswick currently works for Derby County.
His work has included periods at Premiership clubs Derby County, Manchester United and Middlesbrough. Additionally, he has previously worked with the England U18 and U21 teams.
Beswick also spent five years as head coach of England’s Basketball team, which won a gold medal in the Commonwealth Games.
In the opening chapter of his book, Beswick states: ‘Behaviour = Personality x Environment’.
He presents workshops across Europe and the USA and enjoys working ‘on attachment’ with the Athletics Departments of several US universities and with MLS team FC Dallas. Through his company, Sportsmind, Bill offers consultancy services on a wide range of performance and leadership related issues in sport and business.
